Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library copy inscribed in ink on front free endpaper: Gmo. Trecourt, 1874. Illustrated copperplate title page. Title page numbered as the first plate. Plates are numbered, but pages are unsigned. Engravers include: Giovanni Francesco Venturini, Jean Collin, Nicholas Vincenzo Mariotti, Valérien Regnart, and Dominique Barriére. A series of 70 copperplate engravings of Roman Renaissance and Baroque churches with floor plans, cross-sections and elevations. Edition: [second edition]. Binding: Vellum binding with blind tooled border on front and back boards. Author, shortened title and year hand lettered on spine. Blue and white endbands. Marbled paste downs (not contemporary).
